When I started to listen to Hip-Hop, I didn’t listen to anything outside the box. My mind wasn’t open and while I respect other genres, my love for Hip-Hop and R&B was too strong to explore.
As I mature, grow wiser, and as more music is coming to my inbox, I have to grow. As long as there is that internal feeling that music gives me, I know I’m in the right direction.

Bright Lights and Bruises is the self-produced, acoustic-based album from Jay Malinowski of Bedouin Soundclash. The solo album shows a different side of Jay – quieter, deeply personal and incredibly contemplative.
“I’m cleaning my side of the street before going back to work,” says Malinowski of the 13-track soul purging recording while on a rare hiatus from his Juno Award-winning day job. “These are songs of things I lost along the way.”
