[News] MTV’s “10 Hottest MC’s In The Game”

MTV kicked off their annual “Top 10 Hottest MC’s In the Game” Lists on October 18. After a week of deliberation, the final list was published yesterday with Detroit’s most illustrious taking the top spot. As far as this list goes, 2010 is a year of firsts: it is the first year Eminem has ever made the top ten cut (strange…), it is the first year a female emcee has been selected, and it is also the first year 50 Cent hasn’t been able to secure a spot.

Change is indicative of a healthy and vibrant culture, but that fact hasn’t soothed the uproar over #8!

MTV News’ Hip-Hop Brain Trust selected the lyricists based on a combination of rhyme skill, flow, buzz, commercial success, business ventures, web presence, and cultural influence.
