Well I’ll be damned. I definitely didn’t see it coming that it would be Ye who casts me in Christmas spirit this year. But with this first release since My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy dropped that describes “Christmas in Harlem,” I’m feeling the urge to deck the halls, giggle with friends and family in dimly lit rooms over egg nog and toffee bark, and wrap presents and stuff. Throw on the track and see if the same things happens to you, while you envision a playful Kanye and his girl making “naughty” Santa jokes, CyHi riding in a sleigh “goes faster than a Porsche goes”, and Teyana Taylor hitting the mall: “even though we ain’t ballin’, feel like we own it all.” This song could possibly make the jolliest (and most seasonal) rap video of all time.
