Our favorite songstress to team up with (one of our favorite producers of the year) Rich Kidd yet, is none other than Toronto’s Jessica Kaya, who recently dropped the to-die for single “Heavy” (also a Rich Kidd production). I’m really, really, glad to hear they’re coming with more material in a similar soft intimate style, mirrored in this snippet from “Why Don’t We,” a taster for her forthcoming EP titled Imperfections set to release in early 2011. The project is slated to be a collection of raw, unmastered drafts to be released “as is.”
THIS is a draft? As a perfectionist myself I never thought I’d say it, but bring on the imperfections. Also, the nifty cover art is by Sean Brown.
