story: J.R. Wideman
Each Saturday, The Come Up Show writer and sneaker authority J.R. Wideman highlights new kicks he thinks we need to know about. This week it’s the Playoff 13’s, Kobe VI 3D, the Melo M7 All Stars, and other ASW digs. Hit the jump (click below) to check out the pics and to read J.R.’s thoughts.
The Playoff 13 (above) drops today. Did you grab yours?
Starting off the post is a Jordan x Skull Candy collab with the shoes from last week the Air Jordan III‘s in white/cement grey/black with the Skull Candy x Roc Nation Aviator headphones with the cement grey print on the headphone ear covers. This pack retailed for $500 and was only available in LA last weekend at select stores.
Kobe VI 3D
There are honestly so many different colorways of the Kobe VI that I am starting to lose count. These Kobe VI’s dropped last week in an All Star Pack with a White/Gold “LA” Branded Air Force 1 Low. As you can tell the upper has a silver underlining with offset red and blue paint on the snakeskin like material. The appearance of the shoes gives a 3-D effect along with full blue on the right heel and red on the left heel, a sweet pair of 3-D glasses stitched on the tongue which is all together just dope. I’m currently waiting for my pair (Kobe’s only) in the mail and will get some nice pics of my own and put them up next week.
Here are some pics of the White/Gold “LA” Air Force 1 Low’s.
Nike also combined a new Kobe brand Air Force 1 with a complete 1 piece Foamposite upper and ice blue sole. These along with a set of the same style Low cuts came together in a pack and retailed for around $400 and again was only available in LA at select retail stores.

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to SneakerNews.com, SneakerWatch.com, FreshnessMag.com, where most of these pics came from. I obviously don’t have the $, time, or access to most of these kicks to snap good pics, so props to them. Also they are all good spots to get info about upcoming kicks and what not. Thanks again for checking out this week’s edition of Sneakers Corner! If you liked it, which I hope you did, make sure you come back next weekend!
