“My Life” is the second single from Slaughterhouse off their upcoming studio album Welcome To: OUR HOUSE which drops June 12. The track features Cee-Lo Green on the hook which plays off the classic “Rhythm of The Night”. Slaughterhouse has made some of my favourite music for a long time, but much like their first single “Hammer Dance”, “My Life” seems to be a reach at making a “hit” rather than making the good hard hitting rap joints we’re used to from the Slaughterhouse crew. With that said the song still bumps, Cee-Lo does his thing and Crooked, Joey, Royce and Joell kill their verses like always. So even though hooks by Cee-Lo or about doing the hammer dance aren’t my personal favourite, these four consistently prove that they can go bar for bar with anyone in the rap game. Take a listen to the Streetrunner and Sarom produced “My Life” below and remember, Welcome To: OUR HOUSE June 12.
