One of my personal favourite artists, Blu, just released the single “Kiss The Sky” through Coalmine Records today. Produced by M-Phazes and featuring Mela Machinko (chorus) and DJ Dutchmaster (cuts), Blu reminds us once again why he was a 2009 XXL Freshman and his album Below The Heavens was considered by Village Voice to be “one of the most thoughtful indie-rap releases in some time.” Stream this dopeness below and check out Blu’s recent New Word Color interview with Takin’ Mines, in which he talks about his upcoming projects, the situation with Warner, and working with Pete Rock and Madlib.
