The 2013 UNITY Festival is getting ready to showcase some of the hottest acts in hip-hop as the 5th annual festival kicks off July 18 – 21 throughout the city of Toronto. UNITY is proud to announce a FREE show headlined by hip-hop legend Talib Kweli at Yonge-Dundas Square on Saturday, July 20 with an opening set by Toronto’s own Rich Kidd, an underground king in his own right. The UNITY Concert will be a collaboration of performances and stories that represent the different artistic elements taught during UNITY’s year long after school programs, including breakdancing, beatboxing, mcing, and live performances. It will be a free –all day event with over 50 performances from youth, UNITY artists and major headliners. There will also be open graffiti arts space for public engagement and community partner tables. Check out the full schedule and promotional video below.
