I have no idea how this slipped past me last week, but this is really dope. Grand Analog and Shad team up for “The Great Rhyme Dropper”, an infectious cut off Grand Analog’s upcoming Modern Thunder LP (set for release on August 20th). I was a big fan of Grand Analog’s Metropolis Is Burning album (especially “I Play My Kazoo”), but it’s been a minute since I’ve heard any new material from them. After listening to “The Great Rhyme Dropper”, that’s gonna have to change. The track combines slick rhyming and head-nodding drums, and the video is just plain awesome – from the near-apocalyptic meteor shower, right down to the Maestro Fresh Wes cameo.
