Ab-Soul released his latest single “Christopher DRONEr” yesterday. Ab-Soul is not shy when it comes to talking about the government and as the title suggests this track is no different. The production is somewhat reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” because of the constant sounds of bells ringing but this one has an almost apocalyptic feel to it with heavy use of distorted vocals throughout. By the end of the song, you also realize he isn’t always talking about drones in the sky but he might also be referring to drones in the music industry and everyone trying to sound and look the same. Ab-Soul’s unique style really comes through on this track with production to match. Stream the track below.
