“Hip-Hop’s Sweetheart” and femcee LoKei dropped “Black Bottles”, the first single off of her forthcoming project, No Boundaries. LoKei, from the Southside of Chicago, IL, blends hip-hop with pop, afrobeat, and her Nigerian roots. “Black Bottles” is catchy, fearless and energetic, a hip-hop track made for party nights. I have much love for ladies in the industry, and Lokei is one of the reasons why. She doesn’t back down on this track at all; she’s not scared to speak her mind, tell us how bad she is, or mesh genres together. I can definitely see this track becoming a party favourite.
LoKei has been singing since the age of 5, and recorded her first song while in high school. She has since opened for and performed alongside major artists such as Jeremih, Shawnna, and Twista and several Chicago DJ’s.
