On Christmas eve, Peter Jackson dropped a huge mixtape – elongate that “huge” for a second – which has been spreading around like a wild fire. With work and the holidays just passing I never had enough time to take in too much music but one project I did listen to when I did was Peter Jackson’s “Good Company”; right off the bat you get the first single “Havana” featuring Waka Flocka and Bianca, and it only gets bigger as you listen further. With appearances from DJ Paul, 3D Na’Tee, Joell Ortiz (twice), OJ Da Juiceman, RiFF RaFF, Troy Ave, Talib Kweli, Skyzoo, MOP, Chinx Drugz, Young Buck, G5ive, Sheek Louch, Flex The Antihero, Freddie Gibbs, Jon Connor, SwizZz, Aasim and Consequence, Peter Jackson definitely gives you that mixtape feel with this solo project. Including a wide variety of different songs that can capture the ear of any hip hop head. I’ve had some time now to thoroughly take this one in, instant favorites come to mind like “Talk That”, “90’s Rich”, “I Don’t Give A F*ck 2.0”, “Once Upon A Time”, “What It Look Like”, “So Simple”, “Top Down” and “Rumors”. Though I’ll let you decide on your own. Stream and download “Good Company” after the track list and let us know your favorite track off it.
