Here’s a new, laid-back track from Gyptian (who will be performing at The London Music Hall with Ammoye on February 7th). I really like this track, it’s a mashup of reggae, dancehall, R&B and even- if I dare say -pop! That’s right, “Stuck” has an easy-going production that can easily appeal to all kinds of fans. While Gyptian did gain huge success from his radio-hit “Hold Yuh” and received crazy club play with “Nah Let Go”, “Stuck” is more mainstream than Gyptian’s other singles, and, taking a guess into the future, I think this is sure to be a big summer jam.
Produced by Ricky Blaze, a 24 year-old Brooklyn native, “Stuck” has that signature, summery-sweet production as we’ve seen in Blaze’s hit “Just You and I”. Since then, he has gone on to produce records for “Lions, Tigers & Bears” singer Jazmine Sullivan on her album Love Me Back, co-produced with Missy Elliot; Vybz Kartel’s “Touch A Button” and has also worked with Major Lazer and Diplo.
