[Podcast] Canadian Music Week: King Reign

King Reign Podcast on The Come Up Show

Yes yes y’all! It’s time for another edition of The Come Up Show Podcast, and this week, we’re doing something a little different. In celebration of the recent Canadian Music Week, we’ll be dropping a brand new podcast every day from Monday to Friday. To start things off, we bring you an interview with Toronto’s King Reign, as he sits down with our own Michael Lavictoire.

To start things off, King Reign digs into his early musical influences, and how in turn, they’ve shaped him as a musician. “I’m from that era where you always had to do something different,” says King Reign.

Later, the Toronto emcee touches on the importance of work ethic in achieving success. “A lot of people act like success just happens,” says King Reign. “They don’t see the 15 years that you were writing raps.”

Lastly, he tells us what can be expected from his forthcoming album, Sincere: “The main message is still there: be good, do right, and treat others the way you would like to be treated.”

We talk about all that and lots more. Listen below and subscribe to the podcast on iTunes.
