In the history and geography of hip hop, Oklahoma isn’t exactly a prominent location. With a quiet scene, not many of the artists get recognition. One in particular that deserves the attention is Chuck G. The Tulsa born rapper it not new to the rap scene and is slowly climbing up the ladder. His most popular track to date, “Bottled Up” is a step in the right direction. With a feature from Canadian rapper/artist Tory Lanez, “Bottled Up” is a glossy R&B ballad that has the double entendre discussing what almost every person over the legal drinking age has debated one time or another, whether to express exactly what you feel to that special someone, or to keep it yourself after a night of drinking. With the success of Chuck G and Tory Lanez drunk text anthem, some buzz has garnered around the artist and hopefully can translate into more light being shed to the talent in Oklahoma and their growing scene.
