The HMC crew is back with a huge posse cut titled, “Make It Home.” When you look back at the cyphers, videos and singles the HMC crew have complied over the past few months there’s not a question as to why this roster has made such big strides in the hip hop scene. While every artist in the HMC is heavily active/ successful in their own ventures, I always get excited I see a group track released.
The Jesse Truman and Nick Kazlovskis directed video finds YS, K Jotham and Mr. X making their way through the Hamilton streets reminiscing on past struggles, accomplishments and future endeavors; a scenario that all artists can relate to in one way or another. When you’ve put in your time with this hop thing, it’s essential to stay hungry and treat each aspect of your craft the same way a day one artist does. Looking at the moves the HMC have made over the years its evident that the boys looking to take the game over.
If you’ve had the chance to see the HMC crew live, you already know the crew gets down- anytime the collective meets up for a live performance the turn up is always raised to another level. When describing the theme of “Make It Home,” Mr. X revealed that after live shows there is always some kind of altercation that occurs; whether its a run in with the law or late night high jinks the team simply wants to make it home in one piece.
