Appearing for the first time on The Come Up Show blog we introduce you to Mississauga R&B crooner LOTI. Recently recognized as the Best New Artist of the year at the 2015 African Entertainment Awards Canada, LOTI displays a different take on the R&B genre as he explores a sound that is soft and melodic, achieved with the use of pianos, uplifting vocals and harmonies, and combines elements of lounge, soul, slow jams and more atmospheric music.
LOTI comes in with a smooth ballad to usher in the snuggle weather. “Here We Go”, produced by Obrian, is a slow, sexy tune that combines all the elements of a 90’s R&B record; instantly transporting the listener to a dimly lit hotel room – complete with red wine and rose petals – reminiscent of the Ginuwine/ 112 era. The deep pulsating drums and seductive keys all lend cadence to the track, coupled with LOTI’s deep sultry vocals – the perfect recipe for the ultimate contemporary ambient music.
