Few artists — perhaps none — have me more excited about new music than Chance The Rapper.
Since showing his promise on #10Day and then taking the world by storm with Acid Rap, just about everything the Chicago native has touched has turned to gold.
That continues on “Somewhere in Paradise,” where Chance teams up with fellow Chicagoans Jeremih and R Kelly for another beautiful blend of horns, choirs, and just plain, good music.
Most endearing about Chance’s music is the way he seems to be genuinely having a good time, and hearing him mention getting a smile on his face just thinking about waking up in the morning, it rings all the more true.
(Now all we need is that next solo project to drop.)
