Quake Matthews is out with his own spin on Kanye West’s “Real Friends,” seizing the moment to rap about the shallowness of so many relationships – using others for personal gain and feigning interest in other people’s lives. The production is a perfect fit for Quake, and he makes the most of it.

“I ain’t sayin’ I ain’t did it; I’m far from a saint/ This way of thinking we as humans adopt as a race/ And everybody relates/ If you’re the only one real, you’re the only one fake.”

We’ve been fans of Quake for a minute at The Come Up Show, so if you’re feeling this, you should definitely check out his album R.A.P Music, plus any one of the interviews we’ve done with him. Here’s hoping for more music on the way.
