Days after winning the Polaris Music Prize for 99.9%, Montreal producer Kaytranada decided to release the other 0.001%, dropping a 90-minute mixtape pretty much out of nowhere on his Soundcloud. With no tracklist and tag that simply reads “???” it is quite mysterious indeed. He did announce this project back in May, but no one could have predicted when or how. Apparently leftover ideas from his last full-length project, you can find Chance the Rapper and Freddie Gibbs among others on here. “Strictly for Kaytranada fans”, he tweeted. Cool to see a producer as big as himself focused on giving back to his listeners. Thanks Kay.
