Dallas-based producer Medasin has proven time and time again that he is a force to be reckoned with. A sound design wizard, Medasin is part of a growing number of producers who seem to be on the cutting edge of electronic music, capable of manipulating audio into just about anything.
The Film Noir-affiliated beatmaker is back with a stunning remix of JAHKOY’s “California Heaven” featuring Schoolboy Q, which was the first single off the Toronto native’s Foreign Water EP.
The flip is incredible, with explosive horns and colorful synths all coming together in a signature smooth atmosphere. Upbeat enough to dance to, the song is still cerebral enough to enjoy on headphones, a clear intention of Medasin’s philosophy behind music-making.
