More than 40,000 attendees gathered in Rothbury, Michigan for Electric Forest music festival. Weekend one took place on June 22nd to 25th, and was four days of non-stop action!
A step into the Sherwood Forest, and you to come to the realization that there’s no place like The Forest. Filled with art installations in addition to the music, there was no shortage of things to do.
Just when you thought you’ve seen it all, the forest comes alive in the night and there’s more to discover! Lights illuminate the forest, making it a one-of-a-kind experience.
One special thing about Electric Forest, is that it radiates carefree vibes and a welcoming atmosphere like no other. The minute you set foot in the gates, everyone you come across becomes your “Forest Family.” Festival-goers walk by everyone they meet yelling “Happy Forest!” exchanging Kandi, and complimenting each other on their unique outfits or totems.
Then, there was the music. As Electric Forest expanded to two weekends in 2017, this allowed the festival to feature a diverse lineup of EDM, Hip-Hop, and R&B. The highlights of weekend one’s performances were Francis and the Lights, Tom Misch, Snakehips, FKJ, and Dillon Francis.
