The Fire It Up Tour had it’s Toronto stop at Rebel Night Club on April 5th. Starring Earl Sweatshirt and openers Bby Mutha and Liv.e. With Liv.e kicking off the show, and getting the crowd in a positive mood. She was rocking the stage back and forth, with a drink in her hand the whole set. Bby Mutha was up next and got the crowd even crazier! The mosh pits started and completely destroyed her set.

Then the man of the hour, Earl Sweatshirt! He came out so nonchalant. With no big intro or hype, he just walked onto the stage and greeted his Toronto fans with a big, “How’s it going Toronto, give yourself a hand! I got a quick 60 minute set for you! So I’m gonna rap some songs for you!” Then he proceeded to do just that. Rap non stop! Filling his 60 minute set with 22 songs of classic Earl style. Lots of his dark lyrical tracks off Doris and most of Some Rap Songs, making for a very dark intimate set from Earl even in the large Rebel Night Club.

A highly recommended show if you’re a true fan of hip-hop and lyricism. Photos by Harrison Haines.
