[Audio] Rome Montana – “From Texas To Virginia” (Prod: Dretti Franks)

Virginia rapper Rome Montana recently released "From Texas To Virginia". He has been influenced by Texas sounds since his Legalize Me tape and has worked with Texas producers quite a bit. Dretti Franks, the producer for his track is also from there so it is only right to create a track like this. The beat is spacey and the song also has slowed down down vocals toward the end as a finishing touch. Stream the track below.

[Mixtape] DIVINE CIGHT – “Speak Your Mind”

DIVINE CIGHT is an up and coming rapper representing D.C. He fuses north and south sounds well and his music has much style and substance. His most recent mixtape Speak Your Mind hosted by DJ InfamousVA is a perfect example of this. There are fun and laid-back tracks like "Spliff" and "Teach Me How To Roll" but DIVINE CIGHT also has some more serious and personal lyrics on tracks like "Third Cup" and "All On Me Part 1". There is a good balance of sounds and the mixtape gives us a good look into the artist's mind. Listen to Speak Your Mind below and share your thoughts with us in the comments.

[Audio] SZA – “Teen Spirit” (Prod: WondaGurl)

Los Angeles label Top Dawg ENT recently signed New Jersey singer SZA. This is a departure from the sounds we are used to from the label whose roster consists of rap super-group Black Hippy. This is not exactly hip-hop but it does sound really great. The song can be described as slow trap music with beautiful vocals that could also match well with R&B or jazz music. It features production from Brampton, Ontario's WondaGurl who recently gained a lot of attention when her beat appeared on Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail. Stream "Teen Spirit" below.

[Audio] Cassidy – “Control” (Kendrick Lamar Response)

Philadelphia emcee Cassidy is no stranger to battle rapping so its only right he also responds to Kendrick's verse on "Control". He just doesn't go at Kendrick though and gives his thoughts on the state of hip-hop and the trends we hear about so much. He delivers a whole song full of strong and memorable lyrics. This is one of the toughest responses so far and all rappers should hear this before responding. Listen to the track below. Also make sure to check out the responses by Joell Ortiz and B.o.B.
