[Album Review] Mac Miller- “GO:OD AM”

Mac is Back. Pittsburgh emcee Mac Miller's third studio album "GO:OD AM" has been out for about a month, so it's about time we give it what it deserves. Mac is here to prove that he is at the top of his game, in a good place mentally, and is ready to take on the world once again. What do we think of the album? well ... remember Kendrick's "Control" verse where he called out the rappers he felt were the biggest threats in the game? Let's just say he knew what he was talking about when he included Mac in that call out list.

After a week long mystery countdown, C Dot Casto, the Gaithersburg, Maryland emcee reveals his new head banging track entitled "Same Life". With production from OB, "Same Life" aims to be a hard hitting track which works to rile up the fans, and keep the haters quiet. Don't over think, Castro is doing everything he likes, and your welcome to jump on board.

One of the members of the 2014 XXL Freshman Class, GoldLink is back with a hot upbeat track entitled "Spectrum". Produced by longtime collaborator Louie Lastic, "Spectrum"  holds GoldLink's high speed vocals, mixed with Louie Lastic's unmistakably unique production. After dropping a couple tracks in the form of "Movin' On", also featuring Louie Lastic, and "Dance On Me", it can easily be said that the DMV rapper GoldLink is on the top of his game. Following his critically acclaimed debut "The God Complex", GoldLink is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. His latest show in Toronto as part of the Red Bull Sound Select Series with Keita Juma, and AKUA was something to behold to say the least. Goldlink has been working with Rick Rubin recently as well, so his game is about to hit another level. Not sure who Rick Rubin is? Well to put it simply, he is the former co-president of Columbia Records, and the founder of Def Jam Records, that's quite a resume.

Aziz The Shake, the Nashua, New Hampshire emcee who's gearing up to change the game hits us with a new anthem entitled "Go Hard". With production from Alexander Mendoza, "Go Hard" effectively merges the chemistry between hard hitting lyrics, and face punching production that will leave you wondering why/how you've been sleeping on these guys.
