Nas just let loose the visuals for "Cherry Wine", the latest track to get the visual treatment off his Life Is Good album, and a personal favourite. In the Jay Martin-directed music video, footage of the late Amy Winehouse is projected on a lounge wall as Nas bartends. For more visuals from Life Is Good, check out the visuals to "Bye Baby", "Daughters", "The Don", and "Nasty". Check out the visuals to "Cherry Wine" below.
Nas' long awaited, and highly anticipated album Life is Good dropped yesterday, definitely worth the wait. Depending on where you buy it you'll either get 14 tracks (regular version), 18 (deluxe edition), 19 (iTunes version), or 20 tracks on the Japanese version. Either way, all the tracks are great, production is top notch. Full and rich beats from the likes of No I.D, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, even the late Heavy D lay a great canvas for Nas to paint.
I've been a long time fan of Nas, mostly of his Illmatic-Stillmatic era. I feel he was atop his game at that point and Life is Good brings that feeling back for me. If you've second guessed giving this a chance, check out streams of Loco-Motive, Trust, Bye Baby, and Cherry Wine via links. As well, purchase link is available through the iTunes link and the video for Daughters is down below, enjoy.
Nas (currently on tour in Europe) gave UK's BBC Radio 1 the green light to premiere "Cherry Wine", his Life Is Good collaboration with the late Amy Winehouse. This comes less than 48 hours after dropping the No I.D.-produced "Loco-Motive", featuring Large Professor. On "Cherry Wine", Winehouse lends her superbly soulful voice to the chorus as Nas does his thing once again. Stream "Cherry Wine" below, and get ready for Life Is Good, dropping July 17th.
