Still working on his full length debut,
Jahkoy releases another solid track "Zonin" featuring
Luu (formerly Luu Breeze) in the meantime. The young Toronto singer-songwriter continues to produce his signature bipolar sound. Described as an Electronic, R&B, Pop, and Deep House hybrid, Jahkoy's mix of genres separate him from the rest of the pack and garner qualities like originator, innovator, open minded, and unpredictable to his character and artistry.
Not afraid to creatively explore the unknown, "Zonin" embodies his self proclaimed sound but with a tamer tempo and heavily phaser affected instrumentation, that reinterprets a 90's R&B feel and arrangement to a more modern production. A surprise transition to a trap arpeggio breakdown effortlessly introduces Luu's verse. Fluently going in and out of the instrumental, Luu establishes the presence and influence of Toronto that bring Jahkoy back to his musical and geographical roots.
In addition Jahkoy appears to have everything figured out. With a clear vision of where he wants to take his sound and career, the young artist's future looks to be very optimistic and full of opportunity. Interested in sharing your thoughts? Feel free to comment in the section below.
