Blake Carrington: I went through all this f**king pain you think I’m going to give up right now?
I’m proud to present our guest for this weeks edition of The Come Up Show Podcast, Blake Carrington....
One of the most consistent artists out of Toronto, Blake Carrington has been receiving praise from almost every major publication in the industry. He continues to build anticipation for his upcoming project #FAILURE with another feel good and infectious single "AHH YEAH". With production from Junia T, Blake's new track has the perfect sound for the upcoming summer. From the bounce of the drum samples to the catchy high end lead synths, accents of sunny 90's West Coast hip hop are everywhere on this track. With a fun and care free instrumental, Blake writes the lyrics to match. With themes based on partying and laid back vibes, the listener finds themselves reminiscing of times when the summer meant complete happiness and freedom. Blake Carrington continues his come up and deserves recognition, show some love in the comment section below.

I'm still recovering and feeling very inspired from this year's Manifesto, couldn't believe the festival turned seven already. Shouts to the staff, volunteers, partners, and everyone involved in making it possible. I started my Manifesto weekend by attending "The Beat" on Friday which featured Sango, Lancescape, Sunclef, Rich Kidd, Elaquent and Rich Kidd. Saturday I took down some great notes at the panels and Sunday was Live At The Square. Check out the photo gallery below by our photographer CZR-E from the performances at Live at The Square featuring acts such as John River, Wolf J, Freedom Writers, TFHOUSE, Kardinal Offishall, Solitair, Blake Carrington, Raz Fresco, Notes To Self, Jully Black, Jhene Aiko, and Souls of Mischief. Let me know if you were at any of the events and what your favourite performance was.
When I found out Friday a new joint featuring Raz Fresco, John River, Rich Kidd, and Blake Carrington were going to release this weekend in part of Manifesto weekend I couldn't wait to hear the song. Noisey had the pleasure to premier "How Could You Judge Me?" which is produced by Soze and you'll notice the Jay-Z sample from "Blueprint (Momma Loves Me)". Tell me what you think of the joint and we just posted the Manifesto set times so you want to see performed live for the first time then come out to Dundas Square today.
