Boston emcee Riggz Two Nice dropped his Motivated mixtape just yesterday. Riggz offers a wide array of music on the project hosted by DJ Bizzy. There is everything from conscious rap and love songs to twerk songs. It can be hard to believe that songs like "Before I Get Paid" and "Smooth Grooves" are by the same person. This is a testament to Riggz's versatility as an artist. The album lives up to its name and the music definitely make you feel motivated especially tracks like "Broke (When I Get On)" and "Feel Good" which is a more personal song. The final track "Motivated" is the perfect the perfect conclusion to the project where Riggz delivers some great bars to solidify his place within hip-hop. Riggz Two Nice consistently has great verses throughout the tape and the beat selection is also top notch. Check out Motivated below.
Riggz Two Nice is an artist based in Boston who has Southern and West Indian roots. He combines swag with substance and doesn't describe himself as a rapper but he can definitely rap and make a great song. "Bad Baby" is an excellent example of this. On this track he talks about relationships, fidelity and second chances. The production is smooth and compliments the lyrics well and makes for a great fusion of R&B and hip-hop. Listen to the track below.
Kyle Bent is a 16 year old Boston emcee with a wicked flow. He recently dropped a video for "Mind Control" from his 2012 mixtape New Aquarian Age. On the track he provides us with his perspective on people with power, the media and the messages we're being told. His delivery is rapid and he unloads his thoughts with a lot of energy. The lyrics are deep with an overall positive tone and he speaks on unity and rising above what we're told. We can expect some more great music from Kyle Bent with his Bent Rulers EP which drops soon. For now, check out the visuals for "Mind Control" below.
