VNCHY, the 19 year old Congo-born, Ottawa-based artist worked closely with KidStudio to take the visual for "Broke Dreams" to the next level. The Scarborough Bluffs, Rosedale Ravine, and Markham Forest, are just some of Toronto's outdoors that have entranced VNCHY in this scenic, though mysterious visual. KidStudio also has some impressive feats under his belt, such as The Weeknd's "King of the Fall". Through boasting a unique strategy, VNCHY appears to be on the prowl in "Broke Dreams" which will serve to be the first video in a series that will be released with several EP's throughout the year, which will all lead to his debut album. "Neverland represents a personal domain that resides in all of us and is used to exercise untapped potential." Produced by Prezident Jeff, "Broke Dreams" aims for a lyrical track with some dark undertones, and translates the feeling quite well.
VNCHY, the Congo-born artist reflects on being raised as the son of a preacher while his mother held the family together like "brackets within a function". In addition to the influence his family had on himself, and how he was raised, VNCHY's infatuation with the entertainment lifestyle stems from an unyielding confidence in his skills as an emcee. With a gritty voice reminiscent of Sticky Fingaz, DMX, as well as Nine, VNCHY is an artist to watch out for. The track boasts impressive production by Prezident Jeff, which compliments the vocals, and allows for a more creative take on the track.
