Really Late Christmas Post Edition:
'Tis the season. As every year draws to a close, we look back and reflect at the events leading up to this moment. At any given time, we are an accumulation of our experiences and memories. Christmas time is arguably the most beautiful time of the year; part nostalgia and part looking ahead upon the year and life ahead, all with a background of softly falling snow and fireplaces, etc etc.
Somewhat frequent collaborators Danny Brown, Heems, and Despot hop on to this beautiful tune by Vampire Weekend to talk about their past, mainly their ex-es. The music playfully yells CHRISTMAS while the 3 dudes all do their thing. Despot once again proves that he can take most MCs today but has yet to produce a cohesive body of work, aside from a few amazing guest verses. Happy New Year, y'all.

Tis the season, and the good folks over at Duck Down decided to commemorate the occasion by releasing the animated short "How Sean Price Stole Christmas". As you can probably already guess, the video is a reworking of the Christmas classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas, with Sean P taking on the role of the Grinch, and Brownsville replacing the town of Whoville. If you find yourself in Brooklyn this Tuesday, December 18th, you can catch him performing at Music Hall of Williamsburg, alongside Talib Kweli, Flatbush Zombies, Pharoahe Monch, Buckshot, Skyzoo, Smif N Wessun, and DyMe-A-DuZiN. Sit back and enjoy; watch "How Sean Price Stole Christmas" below.
Christmas is the one time of year where families and friends are usually able to gather in one place. Being surrounded by loved ones gives me a warm and happy feeling and this song is the perfect backdrop for the celebration. Ayah
I grew up listening to timeless Christmas songs from artists like Donny Hathaway and The Temptations. And I will never forget how those songs make me feel during this time of year. I wanted to create a similar vibe with Xmas Time. It is a soulful Christmas song. DJ Jazzy Jeff
What's The Come Up Show motto? Where That Feel Good Music Lives. Real Recognize Real. Listen/Download and the rest will speak for itself.
