Ab-Soul hooks up with a personal favourite artist of mine JMSN for this new joint called "Nibiru". JMSN handles only the production for the song but he puts something really special together for Soul to lyrically destroy. Although I have no problem with hearing some new dope material from Ab-Soul, the release of his album has kept me completely satisfied. Control System has definitely gotten the most play from me out of any album this summer. With that said, looking forward to hearing more from Ab and the rest of TDE. Also, check out JMSN's unique, but incredible work on his YouTube channel and if you dig his stuff be sure to get his album on iTunes now. Listen to Ab-Soul's "Nibiru" below.
Ab-Soul has been on his grind lately with his album & everything else TDE. The ball keeps rolling with his latest visual, Terrorist Threats, off his just-released Control System. APLUS Films did a great job on the directing, props to them on that & with that said check the video below.
If you've been checking The Come Up Show regularly, you'll know we've been posting a LOT of Ab-Soul lately, but what can I say? Dude has been making a name for himself and putting in a ton of work recently, culminating in his latest album, Control System. In an interview with Ambrosia for Heads, Ab-Soul talks about his musical influences, as well as how growing up in a record shop shaped him. Check out the interview below.
Today, Ab-Soul's latest work, Control System arrived on iTunes. Although not much promotion was put into the project, many TDE fans have been waiting for this day for a while. Over the past couple days we've heard a couple tracks off the album such as ILLuminate & Black Lip Bastard (Remix) which both feature Kendrick Lamar. Additional features on the album include fellow Black Hippy members Jay Rock & Schoolboy Q, along with other familiar names in the game such as Jhene Aiko, Danny Brown & BJ The Chicago Kid to name a few that add their verses to several tracks.
The album spans 17 songs, and for only $8.99 on iTunes in Canada, for that price I can definitely recommend it. If you’re looking for something to check out before you buy it, ILLuminate & Black Lip Bastard (Remix) are available for stream on our site.
On a side note, check out our interview with Ab-Soul below & the interview article.
Tomorrow is a big day for TDE as Ab-Soul releases his highly anticipated Control System project. What better way to get people excited than the whole of Black Hippy going in on the "Black Lip Bastard" remix. The Willie B produced track features a verse from all four members and they all make themselves heard with their signature styles and hot bars. Kendrick's verse is crazy, definitely the standout on this one. If you haven't checked out "ILLuminate" be sure to do so. Stream the Black Hippy remix below. Control System drops tomorrow.
