London, England artist
Dornik receives an angelic remix for his newest single "Drive" by Toronto's Jazz/hip hop band
BadBadNotGood. The British musician, singer songwriter, and producer is fairly new on the scene and is making quite the impact. Creating a fusion of Deep House, Pop, 80's Dance, and R&B. Dornik's sound and approach to songwriting is completely original. From his arrangements to selection of sounds his apparent alternative style is a good fit for the Toronto band.
Known for there Hip Hop influenced Jazz instrumental mixtapes and producing
Ghostface Killah's album
Sour Soul, BadBadNotGood picks up on Dornik's incredible talent and transforms "Drive" into a dark, rich and ethereal track. Adding glossy deep electric keys, groovy bass, and sustaining strings, the track seems to sound as if its the original mix. With already 20,000 plus views in a mere 3 days, hopefully the two can continue to collaborate and perhaps this electronic based sound is foreshadowing of what may come for BadBadNotGood future projects.
