A little music from my hometown! Kitchener/Waterloo R&B singer Rufus just released the Tri City Mega Remix to his single "My Love (Gone)", off his upcoming album
Growing Pains. On the remix, Rufus is joined by a whole host of Kitchener/Waterloo area emcees, including Dice Giovanni, Justin Credible,
Fraction, Scarz, Pro Logic (who also handles the production), Mantis (of

I've been waiting on this one for a while! The Extremities (Fresh Kils and Uncle Fester) just released their latest project, Re:Fresh. The 11-track release features official remixes from various artists' original projects. All of the superb production is handled by Kils and Fes, and all cuts are handled by Fes (with the exception of DJ Grouch on "Like This" and DJ Pangea Delphi on "Lift Off"). Hot damn! I finally had the time to sit down and listen to Fraction and Fresh Kils' latest album, and I was thoroughly impressed. The Kitchener emcee and producer has been putting in work for a long time (since '91), and the results show on Extra Science. With producer and MPC wizard Fresh Kils handling much of the production and engineering, Fraction and Kils combine to create some absolutely solid boom bap hip-hop. Featured on Extra Science are Kitchener-Waterloo/Toronto rap group The Get By, Kitchener native MisterE, and Specks. Early favourites are "Extra Science", "Hold On" ft.
