If anyone ever tells you you're too young to achieve something, introduce them to Alessia Cara, the 18 year old singer from Brampton, Ontario who is quickly taking the world by storm with her relateable sound. Alessia just dropped the visual for her debut single "Here" directed by Aaron A, and it's not one you're going to want to miss.
Although she is fairly new to the game, Alessia boasts a polished sound that could fool anyone into thinking she's a veteran. Believe it or not, the industry has noticed her talent, and since has become the newest signee of the legendary record label Def Jam. With a mature voice, and elegant sound, Alessia is gearing up to be music's next big star, and her new single only helps prove that theory.
The content of the track focuses on being a shy individual at a party with which they feel uncomfortable at, and asking themself why exactly they are here, something that just about everyone can relate to at one time or another. The visual see's Alessia recreating the very same party that she wrote her lyrics about, with some of the actual party goers making appearances in the video. Leading a route untaken, Alessia works to show her listeners that it's okay to want to stay home and be by yourself, in fact sometimes that's the best option, something that the majority of pop songs seldom encourage.
You probably wouldn't be wrong to assume that Alessia is going to be popping up in quite a few places in the near future, and here's betting she keeps releasing dope music that's in-tune with her inner self. What do you think of Brampton's newest star? Let us know in the comments section.
