Canadian Music Week began on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, spanning 5 days, with 1,000 showcasing bands, performing at more than 60 live music venues in Toronto’s downtown core. One of the highlights throughout CMW was Karla Moy a.k.a. hustleGRL’s very own showcase, which took place on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Tattoo Queen West. Sponsored by Noisey Canada, in conjunction with Jameson Whiskey, the event featured some of the city’s biggest artists including A-Game, Tre Mission, The Airplane Boys and Naturally Born Strangers. Canadian Music Week is officially here and I hope you are planning your schedule for the events you want to go to. One of the shows I'm really excited about is Hustlegrl showcase on Thursday featuring The Airplane Boys, Naturally Born Strangers, Tre Mission, and A Game get the full details and we do have a contest running until tomorrow 2pm! In the meantime check out Rich Kidd and Tre Mission team up for a rap session in anticipation of the show.

Shot by Warren Credo of Beau Monde, and directed/edited by Karla Moy, the two talented MCs cypher to the sounds of Rich Kidd‘s production by showcasing their rhymes during ‘rap time‘ inside the creative space of Free Agency located in the heart of Toronto. Rich Kidd & Tre Mission will be performing alongside A-Game, APB (formerly known as The Airplane Boys), and Naturally Born Strangers (Adam Bomb + Tona + Rich Kidd) at Tattoo (567 Queen St W). The event, sponsored by Noisey Canada and Jameson Irish Whiskey, starts at 8pm on Thursday May 8th with the debut of my first live DJ set. Am I nervous? Of course. Am I excited? For sure. Arrive early to avoid disappointment. Oh and, free shots of Jameson while supplies last – :)
