Without a doubt, we would all much rather see today's youth "Wilin" in the club having fun, not "Wilin" in the streets where violence is always an outcome. Spreading this message across, Kardinal and producer Double Time as Illsmith drop an amazing video filled with scenes that imitate some of these wild over the top party's we see in most music videos, with a twist..because the whole time there is a lot of good propaganda. Watch Illsmith's new video "Wilin" below and let me know if you can spot all the positive messages they put into the video.
"hopefully Mu'fers read between the lines and pause the video to read the propaganda we spreading (and not just pause to look at the ass-although that's ok too...). Watch closely. Listen closer..."
Kardinal Offishall has teamed up with producer Double Time over the past while to create a 5 song EP, The Murkle. Their first release from it is the lead single "Wilin".
"Filled with siren-esque synths, trunk-rattling percussion and sampled yelps, the emcee encourages young listeners to knock back drinks at the local spot rather than throwing bullets out on the streets."
As a duo Illsmith might have created the song of the summer here. Stream/Download "Wilin" underneath and let me know your thoughts on this new banger! Be on the lookout for the full project to drop April 1st.
