Brand Name is definitely a breath of fresh air for Hip-Hop these days. With a fuse between old school,new school and a hint of Jazz instrumentation to top it off,
Brand Name is definitely reminiscent of the golden era in Hip-Hop, and takes you back to when and why you fell in love with it.
Born and raised on the east side of Detroit, Michigan, during the Dilla era of hip hop, it’s no question that Jovie spent a lot of time absorbing what he heard through his radio, eventually implementing these sounds into his music.
Brand Name is a nice mash up of conscious rap, party jams and classic soul samples- there's a track for every type of Hip-Hop head on the project. Take in Jovie's latest project,
