    summer-of-95-august-rigo Toronto artist/songwriter August Rigo, has officially rang in the summer with an EP full of RnB throwback anthems from the 90's to share. The five-track project which he titled Summer of '95 showcases his creativity on each track as he gracefully takes popular ballads and gives them a new age feel. You may not be too familiar with the name August but some of his work has surely caught your ear before as he has written songs for artists such as; Justin Bieber, One Direction, Musiq Soulchild and JLS to name a few.
    "This was the time that really nurtured me musically. It shaped how I think, write, produce, and was basically my first experience with actually falling in love with songs. No politics, no charts, just CDs and playlists and singing at the top of my lungs. I put together this project for a couple reasons: one, to merge some classic R & B with contemporary production; but also, to re-introduce myself."

    Can we please talk about Lil B? I'm personally a well-entertained fan since I don't see nor music as a holy and humorless arena, but even if you do hate this type of .. ahem ... "impurity," I think you'd be hardpress to hold any sort of case that would be able to maintain that this guy isn't an unstoppable force. His knack for cultivating a rabid and expansive cult following behind him makes that argument impossible. Case in point: Today, just in time for Canada's own Bieber's big documentary release of Never Say Never, Lil B, the social media based god is aptly using Bieber's fan base to enrich his own. Which, isn't a bad idea. Biebs' youtube hits for "One Time" alone are well over three hundred million. Three hundred million, folks. I have a feeling Lil B isn't going to stop pushing until his numbers start looking the same. Actually, who am I kidding. This guy will never stop.
