XV's Popular Culture mixtape is finally here. First off, this dude always seems to have the coolest artwork for his projects and this Mina Kwon cover art for Popular Culture is no different. Take note music people, step your artwork game up! With that said, it's his music that makes this Kansas rapper a real force to be reckoned with. Like XV's past work, Popular Culture is filled with hard-hitting rhymes, dope hooks and dope production. The features are slim but Emilio Rojas and ScHoolboy Q both shine in their respective guest spots. Almost all the songs are produced by The Awesome Sound, from the intro to the closing track the mixtape flows and is bound together with different samples from popular culture, making this a great listen throughout. Not much more to be said besides go get this 'tape and enjoy. Stream and download below and let us know your thoughts on XV's Popular Culture.

XV put his iPhone to use and released some new heat over Kendrick and Dre's "The Recipe". The inspiration for the title "Stone Cold" comes from XV's hometown of Wichita, Kansas (the 316). If you're still not getting the Stone Cold/316 reference please see here. Song title aside, XV does his thing over this instrumental and it's good to hear some new quality music from the Kansas native. Stream the track below and look out for XV's highly anticipated album The Kid With The Green Backpack, hopefully coming out sometime this year.
"Some new music for my town. Now let’s go win!!! #KANSAS" In celebration of his hometown making the National Championship game tonight, XV let's loose some new music with "Now Let's Go In". The track has some hard hitting production by The Awesome Sound and a feature from fellow Jayhawks fan and Squarian member, Freddy High. Stream + download below. P.S. I'm gonna have to disagree with XV on this one and go with Kentucky tonight. Who ya'll got? Download: XV ft. Freddy High - “Now Let’s Go In” (Prod: The Awesome Sound)
