Last night, Kanye West delivered a surprise performance at Dave Chappelle's come back show at Radio City. Last week, Dave shared his first "Kanye West experience" during his interview with Jimmy Fallon. I guess Yeezie felt it necessary to show some love to Dave, the man who gave him his first on air performance as a musical guest on The Chappelle Show. Kanye's performance consists of "New Slaves," "Jesus Walks" and "Gold Digger."
Turning Kanye's "New Slaves" into a whole other song, Hit-Boy does his thing on the beat (making minor tweaks) and writes an entirely new hit playing off a similar concept but with a twist. The Damian Marcano directed visuals for "New Chains" show Hit-Boy and a few women sporting chains but he is only using that as a reference. Check out Hit-Boy's remix below and let me know which version you think is best.
On the eve of his Saturday Night Live appearance, Kanye West debuted his new song and visual for "New Slaves" earlier tonight by projecting the visuals onto 66 buildings across the world. Fans had the opportunity to visit https://www.kanyewest.com/ to see the locations where he would be displaying his latest material. Yeezy has always known to be creative but this approach might be hard to top. Watch "New Slaves" being premiered in Toronto at the Royal Ontario Museum and let us know if you think this was a good idea or not in the comments section.
