Hang out with the Richmond, California based emcee Locksmith as he headlines a Team Backpack show at the Tribeca Grand Hotel, and tours around New York City promoting his recently released "Lofty Goals" album.
The video, shot by Joshua Eichenbaum, and edited by Zero Luck runs through a multitude of events that go on in a typical day for Lock, from being interviewed by Jack Thriller, to signing copies of his album, to showing appreciation to his fans. The audio is the impressive "American Beauty" from "Lofty Goals". featuring Marc E. Bassy. Lock is an awe inspiring artist to say the least, if you want to delve deeper into Lock's artillery, check out the raw "10KONDRMS", or the more emotional "For Now", all from his Lofty Goals album. If the episode series is what you're feeling, peep Episode 3, which focuses on the track "10KONDRMS". What do you think about Locksmith? Let us know in the comments section.
If you haven't listened to these guys, you're definitely missing out on the future of the NYC. Empire The Nation is a young music collective from the Harlem and Bronx area of New York City. All the members have individual talents in the mediums of music, writing, producing and engineering. They've been on Youtube dropping content for a year now and they're back with their visual to their up-beat, NYC inspired, "Jump". There's just something about this that reminds you of a more modern version of Run D.M.C. Be sure to see more from them throughout the year.

The first 1:30 is just showing is what was apparently only half the line but the rest of the video is just pure heaven for any sneakerhead. An HD vid of the dopest, most rare, most exclusive kicks being sold. SneakerCon is held every year in New York City. Something exactly like this needs to happen in Ontario.
....Mike aka Type X was in attendance and provided us with a little recap coverage for those who couldn't make it out and for those who'd like to relive it. First up is a high-definition video Mike shot at the event. To put into perspective how packed the joint was, the first minute and a half of the clip is a sped-up look at what he says was only half of the line waiting to get in. Inside the building, all kinds of sneaker heat and apparel from fellow collectors and upstart businesses for you to enjoy.
"Dontcha Wanna Be (My Neighbor)," the second single from Nottz's forthcoming You Need This Music, was released a couple days ago while I was visiting NYC- a city where people live and work beside, above, and below neighbors of all stripes. NYC is also a place you can remember (and celebrate) where you're from, but ultimately choose whether that dictates where you're going. Like Keys says, it's a concrete jungle where dreams are made of. CONTINUE READING (To Access Audio)
