The Journey to the 5th Echelon is Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All's electro afro-funk constituent The Jet Age of Tomorrow's sophomore release. If you love the synthesizer washes from some of the other Odd Future projects released in 2010 and love higher track bpms typical of N.E.R.D. productions like Tyler, The Creator does, then you're sure to dig this. It may not have the advantage of a professional engineer at the mixing boards, but Journey to the 5th Echelon is actually a better record than Nothing. Yeah, I said it.
The Jet Age of Tomorrow categorize their music into the "electric sex" genre (check your iTunes once you download it after the skip). There's a warped little ode to cheese in there too, sure to bring a smile onto your face, or at least a curious furrow in your brow.
The record features appearances from Hodgy, Mike G, Wolf Haley, and production from Tyler, The Creator and Left Brain.
