Odd Future

Riding off the worldwide success of Pro Era's Captain Joey Bada$$, the Brooklyn crew has released an array of quality singles to follow up his debut album and its not stopping anytime soon. The newest release from the stacked roster is an A La $ole collaboration with Domo Genesis (a member an equally talented crew, Odd Future) in an east meets west tribute to their coastal cities. Never straying from an underground vibe, A La $ole and Domo Genesis rap with a street conscious and display  their surprising  organic chemistry on "Where I'm From". Produced by New York's Jordan Granados, the instrumental combines New York's boom bap and elements of West Coast hip hop to create a breezy and intellectual composition. With the music conveying a strong message of unity and equality, A La $ole goes further to say "I want you guys to see and understand where Doms & I come from. Even though I'm in Brooklyn and Domo is from Cali, we have many similarities being the artists we are and the situations we've been through." Since the 90's it has not been common to see artists overlook the infamous rivalry between the east coast hip hop and west coast hip hop. The honourable demonstration by A La $ole and Domo Genesis proves the immeasurable potential of possible collaborations that could have been and can still happen.
