To be honest with you, I hate listening to covers because they’re not often better than the original. I mean, haven’t you stumbled upon a remix only to find yourself disappointed? Elli Ingram, a songwriter and singer from Brighton, adds her own spin to Kendrick Lamar’s “Poetic Justice” and it’s nothing less than perfection. Her soothing vocals are in-sync with the production by Felix Joesph & Rudi Redz and it makes you feel like she should have been on the original track alongside Kendrick. Her EP, SOBER, is dropping later this month and based off this, it’s obvious that it’s worth the wait. Take a look at the smooth visuals to this cover, directed by Harry Cauty.

Kendrick drops off another treat as we come within 2 full days of good kid, m.A.A.d. city hitting your local cd/record shops. He asks but one question to end off the track (which has a ridiculous first verse) "Will you let hip hop die on October 22nd?"
