If you know who Sean Price is then you know he is the type that doesn't care too much about what other people think. Most artists would love their music to be embraced by all and to get play on commercial stations. Sean Price is the opposite, he tells me in our interview how people actually started caring when it didn't matter to him that much. Sean P also talks about the Random Axe project with Black Milk and Guilty Simpson, and possibility retiring? Click play to watch the full interview with Sean P and make sure to check out our photo gallery of the Sean Price show in Toronto.
From now on I'm going to release the photo galleries of artists we do interviews with earlier than the actual interview. Our interview with Sean Price will be released today 4 PM (EST). So come back to The Come Up Show or subscribe to The Come Up Show TV to watch it exclusively. For now enjoy these amazing photos by Danielle Da Silva.
Random Axe's debut LP drops today on Duck Down Records! Last Tuesday we hosted an album listening party, and I must say these cats delivered. Black Milk's production is on point, crafting a sound that blends his signature synths/electronic-influence with drums grimy enough for Sean P and Guilty to do their thing. Random Call is the second track off the album to get visuals. Anyone else think it looks like one of those Taiwai CGI news videos? My favourite part is Sean P cruising on a segway.
The Come Up Show, in collaboration with Duck Down Music & DJ Fase, presents Footwork Tuesdays: Random Axe Listening Party @ College Street Bar (574 College Street) in Toronto.
