    Red Bull Thre3style World Finals 2013 is taking place in Toronto this year, during November 4-9. Yesterday, The Drake Hotel hosted the official Red Bull Thre3Style 2013 World DJ Championships Welcome Night, presented by Sennheiser.     What started as an underground experiment back in 2007 has quickly grown into the world’s largest DJ competition and, for the first time, theRed Bull Thre3Style World Finals will hit Toronto thisNovember. Inbound from the four corners of the globe – from Albania to Australia, from Jamaica to Japan - the 21 top DJs on earth will take over the city of Toronto to compete for the title of Red Bull Thre3style World Champion. Over a weeklong series of world-class music events, each DJ will engineer and perform a crowd pumping, 15-minute music set mixing at least three genres of music to a full house of concertgoers and judges, in order to showcases technical prowess and melt the dance floor. All will come down to the World Championship final competition on November 9, where the last five DJs standing will battle for ultimate sonic supremacy and the most coveted DJ title on earth.

    [News] Rockie Fresh and Lunice Announce North American Tour

    Chicago's Rockie Fresh and Montreal producer Lunice will be teaming up this fall as they announce their North American tour. The two artists are no strangers when it comes to one another's music, having collaborated this year on both Electric Highway and The Birthday Tape projects. The tour will begin in Boston, MA on November 5th, making stops in cities including Brooklyn, Montreal, Toronto, and Portland before concluding in Honolulu, HI on November 23rd.     [Video] Red Bull Thre3style @ Up On Carling

    redbulldj Red Bull Thre3Style is an innovative concept that gives highly skilled DJs a platform to battle, perform, gain notoriety and express themselves in a party atmosphere. Unlike other DJ battles that are based on more technical aspects, this is a creative and unique format that seeks to find the DJ that has best perfected the true art of how to rock the party. Each DJ needs to deliver a 15 minute set that incorporates a minimum of three genres of music. A panel of music industry judges selected the winners based on track selection, creativity, mixing skills, stage presence and crowd reaction. Each night is ended with a special headlining performance from Canadian DJ legend Skratch Bastid. The winner of the Canadian National Final will earn a trip to play at the World Final in Paris, France in December 2010, and compete against winners from 13 countries to be crowned the first Global Red Bull Thre3Style Champion. This is truly international as the competition will go through countries such as Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador, France, Japan, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States. The Come Up Show team had lots of fun at this event, we witnessed some great DJ's. From DJ B Nutz who brought out a CHAIN SAW in the middle of his set to DJ Bounce who sported a Michael Jackson jacket. This is M-Kutz set, the DJ who won the London challenge.
