Last night (Jan. 28) was a big night for J. Cole. Not only did the Roc Nation MC celebrate his 29th birthday, he also performed at the Madison Square Garden in New York as part of his "What Dreams May Come" tour. Cole and his Dreamville team also announced that his Dreamville imprint has inked a partnership with Interscope Records, ultimately resulting in a brand new compilation mixtape. The 11-track project features J. Cole, Bas, K-Quick, Omen and Treasure Davis. Stream/download

We had a great interview with Dreamville's Omen recently, when he joined J. Cole on the Canadian leg of the What Dreams May Come Tour. We spoke for nearly half an hour about everything from Omen's early album influences, to his family's musical history, to avoiding foolish pride.
