Fresh Fridays, y'all! D.O. just dropped this gem today in another Friday edition leading up to the May 15th release of Heavy In The Game, and this may be my favourite one yet. We already heard a preview of "Shut It Down" in the music video for "Small Town", and now we get the full version. Both D.O.'s and Rochester's verses are tight, but Rochester steals the show in this one for me with his Iverson punchlines. Jahronomo Inc. provides the horn-driven production for the two. This is the second single from the Rochester's forthcoming album "GENRELESS". When I first heard this chorus, I wasn't really sure of the girl voice but I got over it. I keep saying it, music is meshing with everything and I think this is a really exciting time for everyone involved in the music industry and also you the music lover. Shout out to Daniel Daley, I have been showing him love since day one!! The Come Up Show was actually his first radio interview, I love it when artists tell me that.
