Yes Yes Ya'll. It's like that ya'll! The homie Sikai is gearing up to drop the next installment of the Painkilling series, D.R.U.G.S. in America and the first tune, "D.R.U.G.S. In America" is out! Produced by Treadway, this ambient, slow trip sets the tone for what is to be an all-time high release - a great project if that went over your head. I won't say a whole lot. I'd just say roll one up, or whatever your preference is do that, because this one will take you to the next level. I've been meaning to link with Sikai for an interview for some time now, since "The Vibes" dropped actually. When we do, you can expect something epic. Til then, hear all about the "D.R.U.G.S. in America".
Fresh off "Spring Cleaning", Sikai's lead single off his forthcoming project, we receive on more visual while we wait. This time for "Theatrics". Produced by Talen Ted, who also handled a few joints off Painkilling: Summertime Sick. Check out this Scott B. Foley directed video below and download the mixtape, it's summertime.
Sikai is back with some brand new visuals for the track "Rollin" off his last project Painkilling: Summertime Sick. One of my personal favorites from the summer. I'll co-sign anything that Sikai drops because the flow on anything he drops is on point. Sikai's been out on his tour game lately but I'm sure we can expect to see a lot more music from him this year. Check out the visuals for "Rollin", afterwards he also came out with a new song previously I missed called "You Girl", collaborating with Ricky Hil.
Sikai has been on his tour game lately so it's been a minute since we've heard from him. Dropping two projects last year, Painkilling: 1500mg and Painkilling: Summertime Sick - two that had constant play whenever I bumped music - it gets me wondering what we'll see this year from Sikai when he drops a video to one of the hottest songs off Summertime Sick "Still On D.R.U.G.S.". The soothing piano Bobby Music brings to the production coincide with the mellow flow Sikai brings to the table. As a sequel to "D.R.U.G.S." off Painkilling: 1500mg, both bring you into a deep side of Sikai's story coming up in the music industry; so if you don't know who he is I'd go do some research quick. Let the Scott Foley directed video for Sikai's "Still On D.R.U.G.S." persuade you.
I've been listening to Painkilling: Summertime Sick a lot lately and Sikai just keeps coming with more tracks that didn't make the project, like "I'll Wait" and now "The Distance" produced by frequent collaborator Karlo Caprice. If you listen to "The Vibes" and anything from Painkilling: 1500mg on, you'll get a feeling of why I like their work so much. On "The Distance" Sikai goes unfiltered and shows just why his music is so relatable for many over a smooth classical instrumental with some heavy bass. Sikai mentions on his recent mixtape that he may drop another project before the year is over so definitely pay close attention for that and let know if your feeling "The Distance" afterwards.
